Comment rules
Last updated: 13 October 2026.
Comments are for arguing about Formula 1 — the race, the calls, our verdicts. Disagree with us as loudly as you like. Just keep it about the racing, not about each other.
The rules
- Be respectful. Attack the argument, not the person. No insults, harassment, threats or bullying of other readers, drivers, team members, journalists or anyone else.
- No hate. No slurs, and nothing that demeans people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age. A filter blocks some words automatically.
- No spam. No advertising, self-promotion, link dropping, repeated posts or scams.
- No impersonation. Do not pretend to be a driver, team, journalist or To The MAX Racing staff. Names like "admin", "moderator" and our own name are reserved.
- Keep it legal. No defamation, no other people's private information, no pasting whole articles or other copyrighted material, nothing illegal.
- Stay on topic. Keep comments about F1 and the story they sit under.
Comments are public
Anyone can read your comments, your chosen name and the small picture generated for you, on our pages and through the comment system's public feeds. Do not post anything you would not want the world to see.
How it works
- Sign in with just a display name: 3 to 64 letters, numbers, spaces or underscores. We do not ask for an email address or a password.
- You can edit or delete your own comment for 5 minutes after posting it. A comment can be up to 1,500 characters.
- If the comment box says "Something went wrong" when you send, your comment may contain a word our filter blocks, or you sent two comments within two seconds.
- A comment thread closes to new comments 30 days after its first comment.
- Pictures linked in a comment are copied to and shown from our own server, so your browser does not contact the picture's website.
- Voting on comments needs a full sign-in (not just a name), which we have not switched on yet.
We moderate
We read comments and may remove any comment, close a thread or block a user, without warning, when we think the rules have been broken. We do not have to explain every decision. Blocking is our call, and there is no right to comment here.
Report a comment or ask for deletion
Email privacy@tothemaxracing.com with the page, the name shown on the comment and roughly when it was posted. To have your own comments deleted, include the name you used (and your user ID if you can: click your name in the comments box to see it). See our privacy page for what we store.
